Sanyo launches Xacti DMX-HD1010 HD Camcorder

The SANYO Xacti DMX-HD1010 camcorder is the camera of choice for anyone who enjoys taking high definition videos and high resolution stills with one unit, and will be on sale in Japan from June 20, 2008.
The Face Chaser technology can be used with both still photos and video, recognizing up to 12 faces at once, while adjusting brightness and focus. The camera's built-in Slow Motion video mode, meanwhile, records images at 300 frames-per-second, producing smoother slow motion playback at 60 fps.
The camcorder's still photography feature can take up to seven shots a second.
The Xacti HD1010 also features image stabilization, 10x optical zoom, and a 2.7 inch LCD that can flip 285 degrees. It's equipped with HDMI output and can connect to a PC, TV, or DVD player.
The Xacti HD1010 camcorder is designed for one-handed operation, weighing 9.9 ounces with the battery and SD card.
The Xacti HD1010 will cost around $799.99 whe released in July 08
